Prime's all over the shop

Some things we know

The main reason why they went with a huge long nose truck for Optimus was that Bay did a test with flat noses (trucks) for scale purposes, and they would only be about 20 to 25 feet tall, so they went with the biggest truck they could find: the Peterbilt. We're talking about a 40 to 50 foot tall robot here.
The physics for Op are designed to have no magically disappearing parts. In fact, when the all the characters transform in the movie, they keep their body mass, meaning no shrinkage.

Also, Optimus is going to have much more red than what was shown in the "leaked" photo.

A couple of girls walk around with green tipped 25 ft. sticks representing where transformed robots were standing so the cast know where to look.

Hasbro had final say on all the character designs.

No humans get killed in the film, and there’s no blood.

There IS a love story in the movie.

The original idea was to do a G.I. Joe movie... but then the US invaded Iraq and they scrapped the idea. Hasbro then approached with the Transformers idea.

Soundwave was in the first few concepts, but they realized he just didn't fit the story. If there is a sequel, Soundwave will DEFINITELY be in it.

Michael Bay’s T-Shirt has Autobot symbol on the back... and on the front are the words "GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS ARE COMING".

Don Murphy (one of the many producers) said "We'd be crazy not to get Frank Welker (The original voice of Megatron) back for this". But the decision wasn't his.

On set with the Autobots...

Thanks Latino Reveiw for the pictures.

Except for the last two of Jazz.

Jazz wouldn't be seen dead in lime green... Would he?

This green sports car is a shot from the film that was taken down by the studio,
about the same time as the first hotrod Optimus pics went up.

We're not sure what car Jazz will be, only that it'll be very flash.
Rumours are he'll have:
Grey Body,
Visor over eyes,
Claw like fingers.
Body is similar in design to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in that it has exposed gears, similar feet...

...and could be a Pontiac Solstice? (left)

I hope not.
Although, after all the other changes, I'm not holding out for a classic Porche.

Get a mustache on that man!

Want a flake with that?

Characters announced. Soundwave Inferior, Constructicons Superior!

Here's the list of Transformers that will appear in the movie,
as announced by the film's screenwriters on Yahoo! Movies...

Autobots:

Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Jazz
Ratchet
Ironhide

Decepticons:

Megatron
Starscream
Brawl
Bonecrusher
Skorpinok
Frenzy?!?
Blackout
and Barricade

So, no soundwave? Rumours are, the whole alien technology thing didn't work with the story.
If that's true, I can't see how Megatron can possibly transform into a gun.
And what from will Frenzy take, if not a cassette? We'll have to wait and see!

OPTIMUS SPEAKS!!!

Just announced... The voice of Optimus Prime will be provided by Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime from the animated series!!!
You may also remember Peter's voice from other great cartoons;

'The Puppy's Further Adventures' - Lucky!
'The Snorks' - Various!!!
'Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers' - Monterey Jack!!!!
and 'Dungeons & Dragons' - VENGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Cities of Gold' - He wasn't in this ... I JUST LIKE THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His voice talents also took him to the dizzy heights of working with The Hoff when he played K.A.R.R. in the seminal Knightrider episode "Trust Doesn't Rust" 1982
